ScoutTrack
Pack 62 uses an Internet program, called Scout Track, to track all the exciting events planned for the year and the awards your son can earn.
LOG IN INFORMATION:
All new scouts should have received an email invitation to log in to
Scout Track already. Once you follow the link in that email and log in,
you will be able to access our pack’s information on Scout Track. You
may want to bookmark this page on your computer because you will need
to access Scout Track throughout the year. If you did not receive this
email or if you need your log in information re-sent, please let me
know and I can do that for you.
YOUR PROFILE:
All scouts and their parents are listed on the Pack Directory as well
as in your specific den’s Den Roster. Please take a minute to check
your information and correct any mistakes. To access your profile,
scroll down to the bottom of the Scout Track page. In the yellow box on
the left at the bottom, click on the link that says “Change your
profile.” If there are any errors, or if there is any important
information missing, please make the necessary corrections and/or
additions. Don’t forget to click “save” when you’re finished.
CALENDAR:
Also in the box at the bottom of the main Scout Track page, you’ll see
“View your Calendar.” By clicking on this, you will have access to the
pack calendar and will be able to see this year’s events. Our pack
plans many activities throughout the scouting year, and the District
also plans fun events to participate in. We do not hold mandatory
events; however, we know you won’t want to miss out on the fun, so the
calendar and the email reminders that will be sent out through Scout
Track will keep you informed of upcoming activities. Once a month we
hold a Pack Meeting where we all come together at Cumming Elementary
School to present awards to the scouts for achievements that they have
completed and to pass important information along to parents.
AWARDS:
The other major function of Scout Track is the ability to track your
scout’s achievement progress. All of the achievements your scout will
need to complete to earn his new rank this year are in his handbook.
When your scout completes an achievement, your Den leader will enter
the achievement into Scout Track. You can use Scout track to track your
son’s progress. Also, under “Sports and Academics Pins” you’ll see a
list of belt loops and pins in different sporting and academic areas
that your scout can earn. Click on the name of the sport or subject,
and the list of required activities will be displayed. These are
optional and are separate from the requirements to earn rank, but the
boys love to earn them and wear them.
If you have any questions about any of this information or if you have any difficulty with Scout Track, please let Lynn Francis know.
