Popcorn

The 2011 Popcorn Fund Raising Sale will begin shortly.  The September pack meeting is the offical kickoff, but sales can begin as early as September 14th.

This is THE single fundraiser that all our pack events are based on.  The more we make on popcorn, the more we get to spend on events and fun.

The very popular Military Donation product is still there along with a brand new item, Trail Mix (Trails End Mix to be precise) looks like a good value.

We are encouraging each Scout to sell $250.

Key Dates

Sale Begins: September 14th

Sale Ends: November 5th - Drop Off your Take Order form and Money at the Scout Hut between 7-9pm.

Pick-Up your Popcorn: November 21st at the Scout Hut

Important Items

  • Make checks payable to "Cub Scout Pack 62" - go ahead and write this in the bottom left hand corner of the Take Order form. Also write "11/22" for Delivery Date in the top right box so your customers will know when the product is coming.
  • Collect the money when you take order - you will need to turn your money with your take order form.  Yea, if you know dear Uncle Bob is "good for it" we believe you, but we'll want you to cover his funds anyway.  Nothing against Uncle Bob.
  • Put your Unit number (62), Name and Den number on your form in the light blue section before you head out.
  • Take two pens (test to make sure each doesn't smear on the glossy take order form) and an envelope for the checks and cash with you.  Got an old clipboard somewhere?  Makes it all a little easier.  Neatness helps prevent lots of problems in the areas of order to money balance, correct orders and matching delivery of product and DELIVERY!
  • Look and Act Sharp - Wear your uniform and only walk on driveways and side walks.
  • Don't sell after dark - Dark blue uniforms added to  "night time" equals flattened Cub Scouts and all sorts of needless paperwork.  You also have to admit that a Cub Scout ringing a doorbell after everyone has gone to bed looks a little creepy.  Play it safe and be polite.
